My name is Rebecca Elizabeth I am a professional Costume Designer. I have an MFA in Costume Design from Western Illinois University and a BA in theatre from Hastings College.
My work focuses on highlighting the asymmetry in the world, and mimic it on stage, to quote my father, “perfection is not a goal, it is a worthy adversary.” I attempt to challenge preconceived ideas of beauty and power through duality, juxtaposition, and color theory.
I believe art is meant to provoke conversation and I strive to create meaningful art that convey’s open, honest, and heartfelt stories.
