This is a fun outfit that I wore out to lunch with my dad. I’m definitely a dad’s girl. This skirt is black with little ivory flowers and has a narrow waist that acts like a belt at the top. I like the length of this Skirt it flows nicely and doesn’t constrict my movement. I got the skirt and the top at Goodwill. The Shoes are from Payless, my dad is a little unsure of heels but I really like them, they really add to an outfit. The shirt is a denim colored shirt and while denim is usually rough on the skin I prefer this shirt because it is actually extremely soft. I like the way these two pieces look together. The necklace is faux pearls layered necklace.
The reason I like this outfit is that it makes me feel good about my body. My legs look long because of the high waist on the skirt and the added height of the heels. I walk differently in this outfit too. And not just because of the shoes. It’s because of the confidence I have when I wear this. It’s modest and hip and appropriate for whatever activity I choose to do. Not only that but it puts forth the image I want people to see. I could easily enter a school or teaching setting and be seen with authority and viewed as professional.
Until tomorrow,
